Rub-a-dub-dub

Rub-a-dub-dub, Shawn loves the tub. Boy does Shawn love to take baths. All you need to do is say the word bath and he will go running for the bathroom. If that does not work just turn on the water and he will be there. If mom ever wants to take a bath Shawn will be there with her trying to climb in.

A couple weeks ago when it was bathtime Mom left Shawn in the bathroom while she went to gather up a towel and some jammies while the tub was filling. Well Mom was too slow. Shawn decided to take matters into his own hands. This is what mom came back to.

Alex keeps growing

Alex had his 4 month check up on Monday June 29. He weighed in at 15.11 pounds and 25 1/2 inches long. He is doing great there. He is in the 70th percentile mostly. His head measures a little small but that is okay. Alex is also quite vocal. He loves to smile and talk. He will smile at anyone who will talk and pay attention to him. Ales is trying to sit up and it won't be long before he is doing it all on his own.
Shawn is jabbering more and more each day. Mommy is able to start picking a few words out so it won't be too long before he is talking our ears off.
Both boys are just getting big and developing more everyday. The time is going so fast and before we know it they will be all grown up.

We went camping

So mommy took me and Alex camping this past week. We left on Wednesday and Daddy then came on Friday. I had lots of fun playing with cousin Jordan and the other distant cousins there. We played on the swings and the slide much of the time. I liked all the treats that Grandma gave me as well. It rained on Wednesday night and off and on on Thursday. Good thing we had a trailer to stay in so we did not get all wet. Grandma and Grandpa Lamb bought a new four-wheeler. I did not like it very much. It was noisy and a bit bumpy. Maybe in another year it will be more fun. We came home on Saturday night. It was sure nice to be home and back in my own room and bed. Mommy forgot to take pictures while we were there so we will have to get some the next time we go.

Update on Us

Whew! It has been almost a month since we have had a chance to update. We got home from Yellowstone and wouldn't you know it, My dad got sick. I think he started to make oinking sounds so we called it this swine flu that has been going around. Both Alex and I got sick too. Alex was only sick for a day or 2 with a fever. I was sick for about 5 days just like my dad. I only had a fever and cough though so I wasn't too bad Most of the time I didn't even know that i was sick. I would get my tylenol and then i would feel better and being running around the house.
Mom and Dad have been wanting to repaint the living room for some time now. So after trying several different shades of yellow to brighten up the room, they finally found a color that they liked. Now after about a week of painting we finally got the room done. It took 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of paint before it looked right. But wow does it look good now. You'll have too look at the pictures

Rain, Rain, Go Away!!!

We are being rained out here. It has rained everyday for the past week. It looks like we are supposed to have rain everyday until next Friday. Mom does not like this too much. It is nice for her lawn but not for the inside of her house. It looks like a toy store may have blown up in here. The rain also makes it so we can't play out in our nice yard. We are going to have to start finding some activities to do before we get stir crazy in the house.

In other news we are starting to get ready to paint next week. We found a couple sample colors and now just need to try them on the wall so we can decide what we like. Finding a place to move everything is going to be tricky especially with all this rain.

We are all fine otherwise. We would just like a little sunshine please!

Chicken Pox, Yellowstone, & Rain, Oh My!!

The past couple weeks have been quite eventful for us. First Shawn got the Chicken Pox. We were a bit worried that we may not be able to make our Yellowstone trip. Luckily they cleared up in time and we were good to go.

Yellowstone was a nice trip. It rained during a lot of it but we still had fun. We saw several Elk, lots and lots of buffalo and bald eagle in the park. We also saw many water falls and geysers. We were hoping to see a bear and a moose but no such luck in the park. We did see a moose on the way to star valley though. Too bad it was raining so much that we could not take it's picture. The highlights of Yellowstone were seeing the mud pots as well as old faithful. We really enjoyed it. Shawn was just happy to be out of the car and running around. Alex slept thru most of the trip but we didn't expect much out of him. We really enjoyed our time with grandpa, it was a great time for all. We hope to go back and visit in a few years when the boys can hike the trains and we can go camping.

We have lots of pictures that we will have to post a bit later.

Tuesday Shawn helped mom make cookies. He didn't like the sound of the mixer though. He did, however, enjoy licking off the beaters. He was also excited to see the cookies in the oven. He wanted to eat them straight from the oven but we let them cool first. Boy were they yummy.

Yesterday Shawn found something he thought was funny. He learned that if he put his finger in Alex's mouth Alex would suck on it. He tried it several times and just giggled at it. Alex did not seem to mind the game either as he would smile and coo back at Shawn. It sure is fun for mom to watch her boys interact. I'm sure it will get even better as Alex becomes mobile.

First day on the new grass

Today We got to have fun on our brand new grass. Check out the pictures. First Shawn got to run around tossing his ball around the grass before he decided it was time to wrestle with Mom and Dad. Alex was so excited on his first day on the grass that he talked up a storm. Even my doggies joined in rolling and wrestling on the new grass. We are quite excited to see what it brings this summer.

For memorial day dad cooked on the barbeque. Shawn got to have his first grilled hot dog. MMMMMMMmmmm Shawn also enjoyed his corn on the cobb that mom shared with him. Shawn's new favorite game is playing on the play mat that was bought for Alex. ' I like to lay and push the buttons on the song machine. Well it is time for bed. I am going to grab hold of my favorite penguin and see you all tomorrow
